The next morning Jon
woke hurting all over. He groaned with Melody’s weight on him. She wasn’t heavy
for him and he wanted to be close to her but it was hurting. “Mel?” She only
mumbled an answer. “Mel, can you please get off me? It’s hurting.”
Melody looked up from his shoulder. “What?” She asked as she sat up to face him. The she realized what was hurting him. “I told you to use sun block.” She said regarding his burned shoulders, neck, chest and arms, sure his back was burned too. “Do you have any after sun lotion?” Melody asked with concern.
“Nah it’ll go away like that too.” He answered.
“Sure,” Melody said as she got up “but with after sun, it at least won’t hurt as much.”
In the bathroom she found the lotion in her toiletry bag and went back to the bedroom. “Sit up.” She ordered him and got on the bed next to him.
She squeezed some lotion in her hands and started rubbing over his shoulders, down to his arms before applying to his back, that she had been right about and up to his neck. Jon only winced the first time she put her hands on him, then the coolness took the burning sensation away.
Melody moved to sit in front of him, grabbed the bottle again and moved her hands over his hard chest.
“I’m gonna be all sticky later.” Jon complained as he watched her hands move over his chest.
“At least you won’t hurt as much.” Melody told him and moved the flats of her thumbs over his nipples.
Jon hissed, not so much of pain.
Melody rubbed the lotion over the rest of the burned skin and put the bottle on the night stand. “Ready to start packing?” She asked happily.
“I was thinking of something else.” Jon said reaching for her.
Melody backed up. “I don’t think so, you’ll get hurt.”
“It’s not that bad.” He protested.
“Yet you just told me to get off of you.”
“Different kind of pain.” Jon shrugged, then winced.
“Very convincing.” Melody said and reached in to place a soft kiss on his lips.
Melody got up from the bed and walked over to the closet, picking out what to wear today, regarding the weather in New York. “Maybe you should wear clothes today so you don’t get burned even worse.” Melody said as she went through his shirts on the hangers.
“But I thought you liked me naked.” Jon moaned.
Melody looked over her shoulder to see his ducky lips pouty face. “I do but I also like you not to be in pain.”
“I’m sure it’ll relieve the pain.” Jon tried again.
Melody laughed, he was incorrigible. “Not happening Jon, we have lots to do today.”
Jon got out of the bed and joined Melody at the closet, picking out his clothes before Melody did it for him.
They had breakfast with the kids, Jon got made fun of about his sunburn but Stephanie promised to help Jake and Romeo pack their bags so Jon wouldn’t have too much work.
Melody and Jon were thankful for that; packing would take long enough, especially since everyone got new things to take home now. It would take even longer if Jon kept on trying to get what he wanted.
Jon put all the suitcases on the bed and helped Melody get all the clothes from the closet.
When he was putting his last long sleeved shirt in his case Melody said, “Maybe you should wear that.”
Jon held the shirt up and looked at it. “Why?” He asked confused, he was already wearing a t-shirt.
“Cause then you wouldn’t get even more sunburned honey.” Melody said, if he didn’t cover up it would only hurt even more.
“You want me all covered up.” He pouted as he put the shirt back on the bed. “But we can do it with clothes too, fine by me.”
“Seriously Jon? What makes you think we’re going to do anything anyway?” Melody asked.
Jon smiled. “Because I always get my way.”
Melody zipped her first suitcase closed. “That just means you’re a spoiled brat.”
“Whatever works.” This time Jon smiled his beautiful white smile, hoping Melody fell for it.
“Not gonna work Jon.” Melody laughed when his smile went even wider.
“All done packing.” Jon declared as he closed the last bag on the bed. “Let’s go shower, we did a lot of work, all sweaty now and I’m still sticky.”
“I don’t think so; you still have to pack for your boys.”
Jon groaned and his smile faded. “Stephanie is helping them.” He rather hopped in the shower with Melody, right now.
“Go help her then, I have to help Faith anyway, you’re so impatient.” Melody said.
“I just want you,” He said as he wrapped his arms around her, “very close to me before we have to say goodbye again.”
“I want you too baby, but this is a bit more urgent, so hurry. She added a kiss to his lips.
Finally almost all the bags were sitting by the front door. “We leave in two hours!” Jon announced through the house as he put down the last bad, then took Melody by the hand and went to their room, straight into the bathroom.
“You’re not wasting a minute, are you?” Melody laughed as Jon took his clothes off.
“If we hurry, we can join the mile high club later too.” Jon said excited.
Melody laughed and got in the shower before him, adjust the heat of the water just the way she liked it.
Jon stepped in the shower after Melody, wincing when the hot water hit his shoulders. He turned down the water; that was just too hot right now.
“We’re having a cold shower?” Melody asked; she knew a shower would be too hot but at least she got packed now and there was no way for changing Jon’s mind anyway. If he made up his mind, it wouldn’t change.
“The cold feels nice.” It really did, it cooled off the still burning skin.
“Do I get to make you all sticky again later?” Melody asked, knowing her toiletry bag was at the top of her biggest bag.
“If I can get you all sticky first.”
Melody sighed a dramatic sigh. “Alright then.”

Sunburned or not Jon still is a horny man! Sad to see their vacation ending so soon but hopefully they will be able to spend more time together in the future.
